Does bloody Spawn i.85 exist...?

I got the set awhile ago, and the spawn i.85 I ended up with has non bloody hands. From what I had heard online and from the cover art, I assumed there would be a cover-accurate version with bloody hands.

So I was in Newbury Comics today and they had just gotten the set in...but the i.85 Spawn was the same as the one I have - no blood....and Newbury ALWAYS gets the bloody or "R" rated versions of figures.

Does anyone know for sure what the dilly is...?

All I can say is that the one I picked up for Quickman from WalMart looks exactly like the one I got from SpawnToys - neither have bloody hands - I think it was just speculation on everyone after seeing WalMart receive them early that there would be changes - in i.85 and in Wanda (everyone seemed to think she would come without the shawl).

It doesn't look like so far there is a speciality/mass market break down on this line. Still bought a Wanda from WW just in case, but with two I can display one without the shawl [img]smile.gif[/img]

thanks for the response mega...that's a good point about Wanda, actually. And if you look at the product descriptions for series 27 on spawn.com (in the regular toys section, not the features section), there's no mention of variants....and I've noticed that McF has been listing planned variants in the descriptions for some figures.

It's fine by me...it's one less double of a figure I'll have to buy just for a minor difference [img]smile.gif[/img]

No problem - cause I had the same concerns - just one or two less figures I have to hunt down to find a small variant - but then I'm that way with the Spawn lines [img]wink.gif[/img]

I've not seen any with bloody hands, either at gamestop or toys r us. It's an easy enough fix though with a little red paint.

My comic shops, which always get uncensored versions, have non-bloody hands.

I guess they just cut it.
